Think it's a dreaded grass seed....

On balance after the silicea and Hep sulph I got the grass seed out, the cyst healed with no infection within 4 days and he didn't have to endure a bout of anti-biotics which invariably leads to diawotsit and blocked anal glands 

Definately a better result! After seeing you post about silica a few years ago I used it on Mika (not long after we had her she had a grass seed that the vets couldn't find) and hey presto it worked! Would def recommend it!

BRILLIANT!  I'm glad it worked for you Holly - I know it goes against convention but after this I believe in it (for dogs and children especially)

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but i'm sure one of our dogs has a seed in it's paw.

I've just been to Boots for some Silicea 30c, did others who used it just follow the dosage for adults/children as per the bottle.

2 pillules every 2 hours for the first 6 doses, then 4 times daily for up to 5 days.

That dosage sounds about right - you can also bathe the paw in Epsom Salts as this helps draw the seeds out.
