Title: When do male puppy's become entire
Post by: wendy on August 02, 2004, 07:24:47 AM
Does anyone know at what age a solid colour cocker becomes entire. I understand that it's sooner for blue roams than the solid colours.

I think my puppy who is only 5 weeks old has all the vital bits but they are yet to descend.

It varies - there is no set time & late descending/undescended testicles are fairly common in both particolours & solids. 5 weeks old is very early -some pups do have their "bits" descended then but often it's nearer 7 weeks & sometimes much later than that.

Ollie's were 'out' when we picked him up at seven weeks, but Danny was neutered at 9 months because he haad one retained teste.
