Title: Oh noooooo! Roast Chicken tonight....
Post by: dazza71 on February 01, 2012, 09:15:39 PM
Help. I fed the two dogs as normal tonight but there was a bit of chicken left on the carcass from dinner and I added some of the chicken to their kibble. I left the carcass in the sink in the utility room and left the dogs with their din ner and went to help the OH and kids bath our new baby. When I went back to the dogs there was a bit of a mess and no chicken carcass. I had left it in the sink to put out to the bin but the dogs had got up on the bench andthe rest is history. Is the bones likely to cause any problems? Please help a silly, tired distracted new dad

Cooked chicken bones can cause problems, but plenty of people have been in a similar position to you with no ill effects.... it's often advised to give them some bread to help line the digestive tract... and do keep an eye out, if they seem in any way unwell contact the vet - better safe than sorry.
