This is probably a daft question (not unusual for me
) & I'm probably trying to run before I can walk but we've now had 4 agility lessons, unfortunately spread over a few weeks though & I was really impressed with Max this week who took himself over the A frame without me holding his collar (OK so I'm easily pleased
). At the moment we're still running around together (fortunately Max isn't a fast runner
) but I'm sure there'll come a time when I need to shout instructions to him as he won't be next to me & the equipment.
So the question is what do you call each piece of equipment when instructing your dog?
At the mo I'm saying "over" for the jumps (obvious that one) "through" for the tunnels & "walk" for the A-frame AND the dog walk, which made me think would this confuse him if there's an A frame & a dog walk to choose from, should I refer to them as tunnel, frame & walk??
It almost sounds too obvious now I've written it down, but thought (maybe wrongly) that we may as well at least try & start off on the right foot & not need to change it at a later stage?
