Saffi wasn't insured immediately we got her, we did it when she was around 18 months. In that time she had had 2 visits to the vet for a consultation. The first time was for sickness/dia-wotsit and the 2nd was due to excessive scratching.
Treatment and drugs were prescribed for the first issue and nothing was prescribed for the second. She was 'just another itchy westie'.
So when we came to insure her as we came to our senses we chose M&S as Jessie and then Hodge was with them and they excluded all skin complaints - for life!
No mention of any exclusions for dicky tums tho
So they check your vet history and regardless whether you receive treatment or not they will use this information to provide exclusions.
We are currently having to pay for Saffi's imunotherapy treatment (as symptoms are itchy skin) which is pretty expensive!
