Yes but is Max working with you? With Ellie being there he has his attention split between you and her even if it isn't obvious she is an extra distraction for him to cope with.

I agree especially as you'll find dogs that live together can sometimes act differently when they're out just with you on your own. Also if this is a help towards Max's problems then its worth working different arrangements for a while. Exercise also isn't just about how long the walk is --- exercising their brains can tire them out as well.

Have you thought of clicker training as well --- again you'd have to start separately

The RSPCA has behaviourists to help the public. I know you are meant to pay, but if cost is an issue, I wonder if there is support available from them.  If a dog has a good home, I'm sure there must be some help to keep them in it???

well things are getting better, max is settling at night in our room without juping all over the bed every 2 mins, i have started taking him to our local training school for one to one sessions with the trainer, im going to get him the sporn harness to help with his pulling, i have been working really hard at his recall, and he is showing signs of improvment :luv:

there is along way to go but atleast things are looking up  :shades:

there is only one dilema im left with...... i cancelled max`s castration last thursday after the reaction i got on here, and since then he has been really forsably smelling ellie, he litrally pushes her over to get at her ph34r

and he is humping his teddy far more than he was.

im convinced i should have gone ahead with it now as i cant have him doing that to ellie its not fair (well i dont think it is anyway)

I am so pleased to read that overall things are getting better.
It is really hard I know but it sounds like he is being really responsive to the new techniques you're using.
I think I would probably have him castrated, although ideally he could be a bit older he is not too young and it could be the best thing for both him and ellie
