I'm currently using a 30ft line when doing recall training with Ollie. He's doing well with sits and waits and recalling to the whistle but we still have a way to go before the line comes off! I feel that 30ft isnt much of distance for him though as it doesnt allow him enough freedom to let off a bit of steam and he reaches the end of the line quite frequently so I have invested in a 100ft line. I'd like to try and keep him within a reasonable distance however, so rather than recall him everytime he gets a wee bit too far, is there anyway I can train him that a certain distance is far enough??
