Tips to avoid static in hair.
« on: January 17, 2016, 07:57:17 AM »
I'm here again! - does anyone have any tips to cut back the static in the hair? As soon as I start brushing and combing (puppy coat's starting to come out) or take the fleece off, it stands up on air!
Thanks!

I was going to recommend John Freda volume boost shampoo for limp and static hair until I remembered I was on the cocker site.  :011:

Have you tried a very slight application of olive oil to the brush first? Obviously not too much or he'll smell like Via Napolli my favourite Italian restaurant.

I read last night that coconut oil is good, you rub it on your hands and then stroke them over the coat. Just spent the last half hour trying to comb him while he's trying to lick my hands! >:D >:D
Olive oil maybe won't taste so good (perhaps seasoned with a bit of chilli :005: :005: :005: - only joking) I'll give it a go . Might take on! Brillcream Boy Cockers!! ;)
