My Milo was on a medicated shampoo for some years before he died, due to a skin condition, down to steroids for his ear problems (!) . So I'm a bit out of the loop with what's new or good. Dylan is really due for his first bath now, he is getting teenagery and never cleans his room :005:. Actually he,s a clean dog, doesn't, like getting his paws dirty, but it,s about time for a bath. Any recommendations for a good shampoo please?
I wish he would start to cock his leg, he does get a bit of a stiff bit of hair on his tum from his wee :o

Dylan sounds a lot more cultivated than Humphrey! I think he was a water hog in a previous life! :005:

If he's anything like Louis it will be even worse once he starts cocking his leg. Louis' idea of multitasking is to hop about while he's cocking his leg. I think he's probably trying to write his name in pee, but sadly it just means that the feathering on the fronts of his back legs gets covered in pee as well as his tummy >:(

Yikes!!!! :o. Hope Dylan has a better aim :005:
He is such a dainty boy, won,t walk in puddles, on the beach he won,t go in the water, doesn't like the rain. I swear he'll be wanting his claws painting pink soon and his ears putting in rollers :shades:

We use Groomer's Evening Primrose Oil Shampoo on both of ours. Leaves a nice sheen to their coats and a pleasant, but not overpowering perfume.

Pure Paws range from Petcetera is wonderful

I use Groomers for Daisy, and I often pick it up in TK Maxx for a good price.

Groomers evening primrose shampoo and conditioner here too. Smell lasts about a week after the bath.
It leaves them so soft and silky.

I would recommend herbal pet supplies (Claire Lyons). All natural products and a choice of lovely scents to choose from. She has her own website and Facebook page.

Lots of great shampoos. I personally use Crown Royale formula 2 on mine. Its not the cheapest, but brings up the coat lovely and is a conditioning shampoo, so no need for separate conditioner. :)

Thanks for all the suggestions, I will now go on a scented shop!

I use Double K groomers edge, from Petcetera. The black for Ebony and the Alpha White for Rosie.
They water down 32:1, so are extremely economical. I also use one of the scrunchy nylon thingies we use in the shower to build up a really good lather.
Double K also do a lovely conditioner.
The only problem I've found is the smell we find attractive makes them want to roll in the smelliest thing they can find :005:

My groomer recommended Johnsons baby shampoo and conditioner so I use that. I don't think she does though because he usually smells of strawberry or coconut when he's been there.

I used Groomers Evening Primrose shampoo for the first time on Saturday. Henry STILL smells lovely and hasn't got the slightly greasy look he normally gets a few days after his bath. So soft and silky even the vet commented on it yesterday!
