Title: Arthritis/joint supplements
Post by: PollySpaull on May 30, 2016, 12:40:03 PM
Hi all,

Monty is currently doing really well with his hip dysplasia and I haven't seen him limping for a long time.
We're booked in for our first hydrotherapy session next week, so will see what happens with that!
Just wondering if anyone can recommend anything to give Monty in his food to keep on top of his progressive arthritis and keep him supple. I'd like to start something sooner rather than later if it's going to benefit him in the long run.
Thanks all X

Not used on Ollie yet but this seems to be a fav with some COLers, they also do one for us humans too :005:
Might check though as Monty is still youngish, maybe details on there site.

Thanks Julie. Annoyingly their website seems to be down, but have had a look on other sites and that seems to be the kind of thing I'm after! Thankyou!

There was an article about them in the Sunday Times yesterday. Their products are very popular.

Golden paste  ;)

You can buy it here:
http://goldenpastecompany.com/

but it is very easy to make your own.

If you are on FB, then join the Turmeric User Group and have a look through their files - loads of useful info on there  ;)

I am a big fan of Dorwest, the team are very helpful on the phone and they have sorted Bea's urine and yeast infections out in her feet, something the Vets struggled to do,

Hope you find the right products for him.

Sharon.

Our lab Holly was diagnosed with arthritis earlier this year and a combination of hydro and yumove tablets have worked really well to keep her moving. Our vet nurse who is training as a physio also showed me how to do some "range of movement" exercises which have really helped too.  Glad to hear Monty is doing well  :D

Harry, who has hip dysplasia tried yumove a few years ago but found Cetyl-M really helps
I ran out once & after 3 days he wasn't his usual self & 3 days after he was back on it he was doing great again
(I buy from abroad)
