Title: Colour change

Our blue roan is now 8 and the past few months her colour is changing in certain area to an orange red?  Any ideas why this should suddenly start to happen

If it's around his chops and front paws it could be staining from saliva?  If it's on his back you may want to get his blood levels checked - change in colour of hair/fur especially dark to red is an indication of protein deficiency - you see it a lot on malnourished children of African/Asian descent
