My agility trainer has a party early each year for dogs and handlers. William and I went today for the first time and we played musical mats (absolute chaos initially with about 30 dogs) in which we were eliminated early on, and then team games. One was a relay potato and spoon race and another involved picking up poo (potatoes really) in poo bags and throwing the bags in a bucket. The dogs had jumps and tunnels to do. William thoroughly enjoyed it and was very good apart from trying to sabotage the opposition by running through their tunnel while I was picking up potatoes.
The games were followed by delicious hot food and mulled wine, then a couple of agility courses to round the day off. It was -2 degrees at best, but we were all warm after all the running round and cheering our teams on. Great day.
