Agility Festival
« on: June 15, 2012, 09:57:30 PM »
Is anyone going to the KC agility festival in Northampton in August?

I'm going to take Rolo just to watch, get a feel for it and for him to meet other dogs etc. Anyone ever been?

You never know, next year he may even be competing!
Caz :)

we are competing ,at Grade6 :005: will have to lock all the cubboard here before we go, last year he helped himself to 6 choc wafer bars, they proved very expensive in more ways than one

We'll be there on the Saturday.  Max will be the grade 6 medium blue roan sniffing his way around the rings & Harry will be the Grade 4 dark blue roan barking in the queue  :005:

It's the most local show for us, it's also an experience being such a huge show

Come & say hello - that's how I met Jackie14  ;)

I have been a couple of times to watch other club members - its a big show so lots of opportunity to watch agility.  Lots of good trade stands as well (love Tuff Stuff).

Last year one of the stands had a paddling pool for the dogs to cool off, but my Lab (kira) kept diving in it soaking people around  :005: :005: :005:

I probably won't go this year though as I am at another competition, but enjoy yourself.

Yes we'll be there. Really enjoyed it last year.
Be aware, it may be free to get in but they charge for the car parking - think it was a £5 last year

Re: Agility Festival - CHANGE OF VENUE

For those of you planning to pay a visit to the KC International Agility Festival the venue has changed.

Following an event at the weekend the ground conditions are not suitable & so have moved to just 5 mins down the road to Rockingham Castle, which looks lovely

Announcement from KC representative:

International Agility Festival URGENT UPDATE - RELOCATION
Due to the ground conditions at Kelmarsh Hall we have taken the decision to relocate the International Agility Festival to Rockingham Castle, Great Park, near Corby, Leicestershire.
As far as possible we expect to run the Festival as normal, please bear with us while we amend the site plans, etc.
Directions to the venue can be found at www.rockinghamcastle.com post code LE16 8TH.
Another update will be provided tomorrow evening (Tuesday)."
 Thank you

Just to wish you all going   Good Luck,  looks like the sun will be shining on you all,

Mr George has hurt himself and will not compete at agility again, so we are unable to go, my sister Jane is, looks very much like me , & runs a sheltie who has just gone into G6 small,

But we will be waiting to hear how you all have got on

We are hoping to go and watch on saturday. Maybe those that are coming could meet up for a short while? There is a companion dog show on too I believe.
