Post by: Cal on November 17, 2017, 12:34:15 PM
Hi everyone, my sweet little Josie 9 years old has just had her second stroke , it passed in an hour and she seems fine now sleeping peacefully, first Stoke 3 mths ago lasted 10 m. Vet didn't do anything or give her any thing so I have just kept her at home this time, my other dog Ruby senses something is not right so is cuddling in to her awh, anyone had any experience of stroke she is American cocker 9 years old.
Thanks carol

Sending big hugs to you both.  :bigarmhug:

Did they do tests to try to establish the cause? I understand that sometimes they can tell and try preventative such as blood thinners or blood pressure tablets.
I had a very old bassett hound who had a couple of strokes, unfortunately with her they couldn't really find an underlying  reason.

Poor Josie and bad luck, Cal. Hope she makes a full recovery.
I wouldn't know how to recognise a stroke. What are the symptoms to look for?
