Which thinning scissors??
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:50:36 PM »
Hi I need to buy a new pair of thinking scissors the pair I have now are just a pair I got from  the pet shop which aren't really doing the trick they make hard work of grooming so I wondered what the pros on here use ;) I'm getting better at grooming them both and feel more confident now to go for something a bit more sharper, hoping anyone might know of a good make x

I  have roseline ones,  don't have the model number but I can find it tomorrow when I'm on the computer ( it's the 6.5" ones that most people have on here).  They were around £50,  it took me months  to persuade myself to spend that much on scissors... but they are totally worth it and  well  weighted (so much so, I then bought the straight scissors too)

Thanks very much ill have a look I thought I'd be paying around £50,  I've seen more expensive ones ph34r but can't justify spending a massive amount for grooming my mutleys :005:

I have the Roseline ones now- bought a set of Ancols for a tenner first from a local pet shop, and they were completely useless.

I had initially bought a pair of the Gotta scissors and had poor results using them. When I saw some groomers using their scissors I knew something wasn't quite right but thought it was me and a poor technique.

After reading this I decided (out of hope and curiosity) to try the Roseline ones. They arrived on Saturday and I have to say the difference is incredible - so much easier to use!

Really really pleased - thanks for recommending them!  :D
