Megan's Diary - Part One
« on: April 04, 2015, 04:04:22 PM »
Thursday 2 April

Arrived at my new home.
so scared but eat my two meals and had cuddles
wrapped in my cuddle blanket before going to bed.
slept well BUT chewed through my harness  ;)
through the night, as I didn't like it much.

Friday 3rd April

Mum took off what was left of my harness
said she was going to buy me a new
lots of cuddles during the day and I eat all my 4 meals up
much to my Mum's delight also while being cuddled I
took a quick peek around, still want to hide my head
so no one can see me.
tucked up in bed for the night by my Mum and near Honey
I slept well.
Mum woke up at around 4 am and heared me gentle snoring

Saturday 4th April.

Got up at 6.30 to my morning cuddle and chat,
well Mum did all the talking..a girl can't get a bark in,
but she kept telling me how much I was loved,
well I am small, skinny with a bald tail and ears but
I have lovely big eyes.  :luv:
breakfast over.......toilet done. good job I got a big
crate  ;) and plenty of warm throws.
funny noise I think they said it was the washing machine
doing my bedding, lots more to come.  :005:
Mum paid a visit to Pets At Home store to get me
more Natures Diet (love them) and she also bought me
some puppy milk because I wouldn't drink the water that
was in my crate, and some very tiny puppy treats,
love them now  :lol2:  I keep looking up everytime Mum
goes by just in case she pops another one in.
she did get me a new harness, very soft one haven't
tried it on yet as Mum thinks It might be just to much
for me. I don't mind her leaving it for a while.
Made my Mum & Dad so happy too they kept grinning
all because I licked water and the puppy milk from Mom's
fingers, like to taste of them I did try it from the small
bowl as well...not a patch on her fingers. ;)
Had a afternoon cuddle and couldn't take my eyes of
the TV think they called it horse racing. I don't hide my
eyes so much now, they say I am very alert and don't
want to miss anything.
I know that I have a long way to go before I can feel
really safe and not frightened but Mom has promised
it doesn't matter how long it takes,
Mom bought me a plug in called Adaptil which will
help me to settle down and feel happy.
thank you all for asking after me I will post again soon
sorry can't face having my photo take yet, think it
my be a while before I am that brave to stand on
my own and look at Mom.

Just love reading your diary Megan. You sound such a very dear girl a lot braver than my Jessie who has been here 2 years. Will be waiting to read the next entry.

I have only just caught up with your news. Poor little baby. I'm crying after reading Megan's story but I absolutely know that she will have the best chance and best life possible from now on. I cannot wait to see the changes in her and I await the photos of her running and enjoying her life, as it should be. All the love in the world sent to you and Megan  :luv: :luv:

Hi
While Megan is snoozing her little head off,
I thought I would let you all know how she is doing.
She is braver now and has settled into her crate with
both doors open  as she feels safe in her bolt hole
she no longer hides her head when we come up to her and
watches us all the time, we keep talking to her as we pass
by and call her Megan, so she will get to know her name
she loves the puppy milk but I have to let her lick my
fingers dripped into the milk, then she will lap some up then
back to the fingers again, she doesn't back away when we
stroke her.  Nicky at M.T. told me about TT Touch and we
sit in the evening doing it, not cuddling, more stroking which
she seems to like. She is so sharp and alert but yesterday
we sat watching the TV when in the program a man
banged some metal gates, she stared at the screen then
freaked out, I took her out of the room and she settled down
but the strange thing is Holly did the same thing when she hear ed
metal crashing together and she also was frighted by some men.
Megan is doing the same, wonder if it is because puppy farmers
are mostly men.  >:D Megan not keen on men. We have to take her
to the vets on Friday to have her stitches out, I have made sure it is
one of the woman vets to do it.. wish we didn't have to as I'm sure
it going to stress her.
as it was a lovely day yesterday, we sat outside and she sat on
my lap looking around and watching our next door neighbours
as I stroked her I noticed  some of her hair was coming out, not a lot
but wondered if it was to do with being stressed or if it OK.
I can't begin to tell how she melted my heart yesterday,
she won't look at you when sitting on your lap but
yesterday she turned around and
looked at me with that special look, you know how I mean,
that look that says Hi Mum.
Can't believe how much she has filled our lives it's like she has
all ways been here.
she truly is a darling. :luv: I can't believe how people could hurt
one so young and defenceless animal.

Megan will be back herself tomorrow to tell you more of how she doing.
