Oh Megan Darling you are doing so well...we are still waiting for Mum to post some pictures of you.

Hope you sleep well tonight and enjoy tomorrow even more.

Julie

Sorry Julie
it might be a while before we try to take any photos of
her, she is just so nervous when you look at her, I don't want her
to worry, did watch her this morning,I sat on the stairs so
she couldn't see me and bless her she came in and out of
her crate sniffing the chairs and sheepskin rug, acting like a little
puppy should when checking things out, she so longs to go the
Honey but as Honey is always to far away she gets so far
then runs back.Yesterday I bought one of those £1.99 thin flat beds from Home Bargains
it has a plastic cover so I can keep it clean I have put it by the side
of the crate and she came out this morning and used it for her toilet,
better than in her crate so
I am going to get another one so when she is running around the house
I can put it by the back door for her, one step nearer to getting her
to go out side.
She is so, so  lovely and so, so CUTE  :luv: I know I'm bias.  :lol2: I
have to keep reminding my self to remember
TAKE ONE DAY AT A TIME. just want to cuddle her, but I think she
is going to be a little girl who likes to have cuddles on her terms,
not like Honey who would sit all day in your arms telling you tales  :lol2:
no rush......Can't believe it was only last Thursday we went
to collect her.
Val

Bless her....it is slow steps - then when they get there courage an confidence there will be things that will remind Megan

Ollie was from a rescue and he still does not make friends with men other than OH....we think maybe he has had a beating by a man when young....he was seven months when we got him.

Love to hear she is moving around when no one is watching :luv:

Hi everyone,
Megan is sleeping off her meal, so I thought I
would take this opportunity to let you all know the latest
news,
Well the worry about her being upset going to the vets
was correct, she freaked out completely when OH opened
the front door and by the time
I had got her in the car she had messed all over me, she
was just so scared, she was no better at the vets, I sat in the
car until they were ready for us, but she was OK having her stitches
out but again pooed all over the table and me again. On the way out
she freaked out again  when OH opened the doors I just ran to the car
and we got her home as quick as possible, poor baby  :'(
we really thought that would put her back but no later that night
she was running around again. :lol2:
Sat saw a big change in her, she was running about and she could
see herself in the mirrors of the display cabinets and kept barking
at them. she has got a lot braver and ventured out into the
dinning room/conservatory,  we could hear a noise and found she
had found several pieces of Honey's Burns dinner, she made us smile
as she also wag her tail...which has been docked not to short and
glad to say it now has a coating of fur over it and also on her ears.
She is beginning to look at us when we call her name too.
Yesterday she had a barking session and seemed to like hear her
own voice and both of the girls had a bit of a get together, although
Honey is to much laid back to romp much  :005: Meg's has shown that
she wants to be close to us and if we go and sit in another room
she comes and follows us, she has made herself a bolt hole in the dinning
room as well as her crate in the lounge and dashing from one to the other. :lol2:
I can't believe it only 11 days since we got her and she has come on
so much....one thing we have found is that she has a fear of doors
opening. :o
another thing is she really does look older than 8 months  :shades:
it showed on her passport 18 months and on her microchip papers.that
came this morning. it gave her date of birth as 2/9/2013.
still her birthday is now officially Gotch Day 2/4/2015.
a long way to go but I am so pround of her.

Sounds like the opening of a door into a new world is just too much at the moment.

I love reading her Diary and seeing how she is learning about her new surroundings and family.

Megan is being so brave, the tail wag and bark shows she's getting there  :luv:

Although there are mixed events, that is a really positive update.  I am sorry the vets was so traumatic for Meg's  :luv: but what a change in the house.  I love that she has found her voice, what a lovely sound to hear.  :luv: Lara was phobic about doors too, I suppose puppy farm dogs never get to go through a door.  Their first experience of leaving what they know must be traumatic.  I have to say I think you are all doing great, and the progress is amazing.  Well done brave little Meg's, sending you a cuddle. xx

What a lovely update, especially to hear there was a wag of her tail  :clapping: :clapping: well done Megan
It sounds like a traumatic experience for you all at the vet, but she must be doing well to manage to put it behind her once she felt safe at home again.
I love hearing about her starting to enjoy the world and really look forward to the updates - thank you so much for taking the time to do it  :luv:

Lovely update.  Glad the trauma of the Vet is over for all of you.   It sounds as though darling Megan is making real progress with your love and kindness.
