It was 2 years ago today that I lost my Border Collie Hooch so suddenly. I woke up to find him unable to stand up. All he wanted to do was please us so when we asked him to get up he obliged - even though it was agony. I took him to the vet convinced that he would be fine - he was always fit and healthy and only 9 years old, not a grey hair in sight - but that was not the case. Hooch had a massive tumour on his liver and would only survive for 24 hours if I took him home so I had no choice but to have him PTS.
I have never felt so much pain as I did on that dreadful day 2 years ago and it still hurts now. Hooch was a very protective, loving, loyal family pet and will always be in our hearts, resting at Rainbow bridge and now re-united with Ronald and his favourite cat Holly who sadly followed Hooch to the bridge a few months later.
