I can't really add to what has already been posted, except that,  I truly believe in fate, and whatever the reasons Brocky came to you, whether as a wonderful stop-gap until he found his forever home, or because you were meant to have him, you can believe "it was meant to be".

Thanks so much for the messages guys. Its nearly 8am here now and the prospective owner comes tonight. I will see how it goes. I will be sure to keep Rommel locked up (much to his disgust) so he doesnt steal the spotlight.

If all goes well then we can visit her this this weekend.

It was a pretty hard night last night with the two guys. Brocky is so gentle and calm that I ask him over and over again how anybody would ever want him to be put down. Normally he sleeps in the garage but last night I let both of the boys sleep on the bed with me. Rommel did his usual trick of trying to lie on my head but Brocky, ever the gentleman took his place at my feet and didnt move all night. I was up every hour to just say hi.

I took heaps of pics and footage of Brocky last night. And when going through them all I thought this was interesting.

This was taken within an hour of him first coming to my place on that fatefull day.

Its interesting to see a couple of things to my eyes.

1. Rommel looks like he has grown. I am not referring to his physical size though.

2. Brocky is still smiling.

Today is going to be a horribly long day.

Thinking of you guys. It must be soooo hard, i cant even imagine. Like two peas in a pod those boys.  Hope everything goes well, and good on you for the mini 'sleepover' bet the two of them loved it (and you I am sure).  Let us know how things go this evening.

Thanks for all the comments guys. It’s really nice to hear.

Just thinking about the hairy little guy and that I have never once had to tell him off. Not even close. I know I am rambling about him and what a good guy he is but he truly does nothing wrong. I wonder what goes through his mind some times. He is always happy to just lay there and doesn’t mind anyone or anything.

Its easy to tell whats going through Rommel’s mind as he usually wants attention or food or both. Brocky is far more laid back and just wags his tail all the time. He doesn’t fight for attention as he knows its coming. Unlike Rommel who thinks every bit of attention is his last and wants to discuss the new shipment date and why it isn’t here yet.

I’d say they were two peas in a pod but while Brocky is chillaxing in the pod, Rommel broke out and tore up 9 rolls of toilet paper.

Some of the highs of having Brocky has been:

Seeing him sniff around the yard for the first time

Watching him eat chicken legs. The first one he just sniffed and licked for a while. Now he runs around in circles then sits down to be a good boy when I go to the fridge to get them out

Bathing him for the first time in what possibly could have been his life

The first time he actually let me pat him without cowering

The time I busted him licking rommels face when he was sleeping when they didn’t know I was watching.
