Static?!
« on: February 29, 2004, 08:36:13 PM »
Recently Millie's fur has been very static-y to the point of actually standing on end if I brush it!   then she gives me an electric shock when I touch her again

She has got a bit of 'dandruff' aswell , and I wondered if her skin / fur was becoming particularly dry for some reason ?  :?  I do condition her fur with a bog standard tea tree oil conditioner, and I've tried just rubbing her dry, blow drying her, and leaving her to 'drip-dry' with her 'bag-lady' suit on ;)

I just switched food to Nutro's Lamb and rice with extra sunflower oil to see if it helps ... is there anything else I can do / add to help her?
I do brush her, probably every other day with a soft brush to 'get the juices flowing' ;) but it just makes her into a fuzzy plasma ball!!

Hi Kelly,
If you have a spare pump spray bottle, you could fill it with some watered down conditioner (I like the coconut one from Asda's) and use this when you brush Millie. Not only should it help eliminate the static, but condition the coat a little at the same time  :D

It's the weather !
Mine are all static at the moment, because the air is so dry.
