The Face

Hi, I've groomed Dicksy this morning, thinning out his top knot, ears and chest area along with his legs.  His feet are done a treat.  However, I have left him fairly long as that is how I prefer him,  but I just don't know how to do his face, the bits at the sides of his mouth sweep right up, I have trimmed them but I don't know how they should look or how to achieve the correct look, so although I think he looks better I don't think he's right!  I am not going to show him so it doesn't have to be perfect but I want him to look his best.

I'm probably completely out of my depth here, but....

...would using a thinning sissors on them work?

I usually use thinning scissors on the beard    Butty tends to grow one to    If your not to confident just try a tiny bit at a time until Dicksy gets used to the sound of the scissors near his face   I don't know what others do but I tend to use a circular motion whilst I'm doing it to blend it properly  :)
