Have just taken my two for a nice long walk up the Taff Trail while the football was on as I guessed there would be no bikes up there.
"Mr adventurous, I can poke my nose in everything and usually get into trouble somewhere along the way Wilf" has to wear a harness with a 10m training line attached when we go on longer treks. So far so good we get to the Taff bit near Radyr weir and he keeps running down the hollows on the bank to have a dip at every opportunity. Then he decided to venture a little further and ended up in the water, no problem apart from the fact that to get there he slid a few feet vertically into the water. Water wasn't deep but he realised that the steep bank he'd just slid down wasn't go to let him get back up too easily, in fact not at all. So there's me sliding down as far as I could go without having to join him, hanging on to tree roots for support until I could eventually hoist him out the water using the rope and harness. Ruby gave him a good telling off when he got back up. As I got back up there I met a couple in their best sunday clothes having a nice evening walk while I'm stood there covered in muck with 2 wet spaniels looking quite a sight.
LOL cockers don't you just love em.
Well at least the trail was quiet with no bikes to dodge.
