Hi Everyone
« on: October 11, 2008, 10:13:14 AM »
I've kind of done this back to front as already put a couple of posts in the puppy section before noticing this introductions bit!  Have to say though, this site is a godsend.  I'm so glad I found it!

We're a family of 5 humans - me (Vanessa), OH (Rob) & 3 sons (Dan, 17.  Jake, 12.  Alex, 4).  We have 2 doggy friends - Mindy (3yr old liver & white working cocker bitch) & Darby (8 week old, mainly black with a white bib & paw, working cocker bitch).

We're very green where training is concerned.  We don't have much of a clue.  We've just been very, very lucky that Mindy turned out to be such a sweetheart.  Gentle, placid, well behaved & really sociable.  We want to make sure we get things right with Darby & not just leave it to chance so I've already spent hours reading on here & have learnt so much about cockers it's incredible!

Darby had her 1st jab yesterday & will be able to go out in 3 weeks.  We've already got training & socialisation booked for both girls.  Until then (& probably long after) I'll be relying on all the great advice & experience offered on here.

Wow, that was long-winded!  Sorry!

Welcome to COL.  You will find loads of information on here on every subject to do with cockers and lots nothing to do with them  :005:

It really is a lifeline - kept me sane many a time when Coco was driving me over the edge!  ::)
