She's a golden girl. Very similar to bailey, just a bit lighter.

So is that 5 days to go now  ;)

Really hope you get to keep her if it's working out well between her and Bailey - sounds like she has your hearts already  :D :luv:

Yes, she has our hearts- that's for sure!!  :luv:

Counting down with bated (sp?) breath- 5 Days seems like an eternity!!!!!!!!! The SPCA, vets and shelters didn't seem to think that anyone would claim her.

Just uploading some photos onto photobucket... will post soon.  :shades:

Well, they're nothing fantastic. Just a few I snapped this morning on my phone. Really bad quality but you can get an idea of what she looks like.

She looks really big in these photos... but she is tiny next to Bailey.  :luv:

Aw she looks so chilled out and sweet, amazing considering the last few days!

Will keep everything crossed for you, I'd agree that if there has been no sniff of her last owners by now, it's very unlikely they will appear - unless she was stolen and abandoned from a different area but it seems unlikely  :luv:

Fingers crossed!!!!!! :D

I have already ruled that out... SPCA has checked on their national database, and our lost and found websites are national as well so that covers the whole country. There hasn't been a posting about a cocker since November last year (and it was for a 7 year old). I even went to the police station, but nothing has been reported.

If she wanted to be found, it would be really really easy.

Looking good then!

Will her details remain with SPCA after a week or will they call it quits if you decide to keep her? - Just wondering would will happen if an owner turned up in a few weeks time? I seems unfair particularly as she is so young, was in a bad state and clearly has a great home with you that they could still appear later on or do you just register her somewhere as yours??

Just interested as I rehomed a dog privately and was always wondering what would happen if the owner changed her mind months down the line.. I lived for about a year with the thought that if they desperately wanted her back and thought they'd made a massive mistake, I'd probably give her back but after that year mark passed I knew there was no way on earth I'd part with her. I did have her Kennel Club papers though and something in writing to say I was rehoming her etc..

This was quite a concern for me too. I spoke to the SPCA and they said that if an owner does not come forward within a week, she is mine!!! They have it on record that I reported the finding, and that I requested to keep her if no owner is found. I'm quite glad about that, as I can only guess at what her previous owners were like. Within the first week, they have to hand her over with no questions asked (no home check  :'( )
