All hail The Mighty Treat Ball!!
« on: March 29, 2010, 08:14:58 PM »
I tried the kong thing - which was good...to a point, but they have to be put aside until the thawing process sets in - and Harvey'll still have them...

...but The Mighty Treat Ball! Well, what a FABULOUS invention! and sooooo simple!

It has kept Harvey busy for eons! I love it - it's like a puppy nanny! I got to work, have dinner AND go to the loo all without being jumped on!

Definately recommend for puppies who love their food!

I got Harvey's from Pets at Home - but there's lots of places in the internet that sell them:

Great advise for my puppy too! Thanks coralee!
I also have it! Mine is made out of hard plastic... Is yours hard or soft?

It's hard red plastic - Harvey adores it!! As soon as I put it down, he was off! Fab little invention, worth its weight in gold methinks!!  :D

I put his dinner in to it tonight (2 hands of puppy kibble) and he just loved it! I think I'll feed all his meals in it from now on - had it on the small hole  :D

Billy used to have the exact same one, until one day he'd managed to try and pick it up and had got it completely jammed in his mouth  :o  His teeth were hooked in one of the little dips in the circles. It was lucky I was at home, I'd heard him crying in the other room and managed to get it out of his mouth. It got binned after that.

I just wouldn't leave him alone with it, make sure you are in the house when he's using it. Or maybe my cocker just has a big mouth  :005:

You need to keep an eye on them - but they are great.  Maggie tends to pick hers up a lot and try to eat her way through to the food rather than push it round so I have to watch her a lot with it :)

I was hoping it was going to be a lovely thing for him for when I left him on his own - but closer inspection tells me differently!! Back to the frozen kongs then!

I'll still feed his food in them though whilst I'm with him.  :D
