Lace was 28" and is just right   I haven't used the head bit though just yet as you can see it all ruffled around her neck  :005:

Jo does it still have elastic round the head peace? and did you request that colour or is that just what came. I only ask as Tallys old one is just plain black and I quite like the colour.  ;) I must order some too Jeanette as both the boys are sharing Tallys old one at the mo.  :shades: :005:

What lovely pic's Jo....Lace looks gorgeous.  :luv: :luv:

Please excuse my ignorance but i am now curious about this thread too  :P  Do you use the Dry Coats for just after bathing & is there a benefit using them?  Sorry Jeanette i don't mean to hijack your thread, its just i have never heard of these before.

Don't apologise - I'm trying to get organised before Quinn's first show.

Dry dog coats are for when they are wet and drying them http://www.drydogcoats.co.uk/index.php/drying-coats.html

and Shine On Coats are for when they are dry for flattening the coat before a show http://shineoncoat.co.uk/

Jo, Lace looks gorgeous in hers  :luv:    I'm sure its the Shine On Coats that I've seen people use at shows.

I think I'll buy the Dry Dog Coat first as will help after bathing but might get the Shine on Coat - the before and after pics on the website are tempting me  :005:

Thanks Jo & Jeanette....it sounds a really useful coat to have  :shades:  I think i will order a Dry Coat now.  :D

Oh Jeanette. I must have missed that. Where's that hun?

I have both Jeanette  :shades:

Really Sarah. Do they do different things then? I'm a bit confused now as I would have thought they were pretty much the same thing. I might have to get one now then. What is it that Shine coats do that Dry coats don't then?

I have both and find that you get a much better finish with the Shine On. I sometimes use the dry coat whilst i'm drying the feathering then put on the Shine On coat for a 1/2 hour when they are dry. I always use the Shine On on the journey to shows too, I think it brings the coat up a treat, wouldn't be without it really. :D

Just reading this with interest because I bought a Drydog coat in April and it has been a godsend. I wanted a Shine On but thought they were a bit expensive for what you get... Maybe I'm wrong.

I put Murphy's on over a towel or two straight after a bath, then about half an hour or so later I take it off and blow dry him. Sarah are you saying that you blow dry your boys with the coat on??

Yep I do rightly or wrongly, but that was what I was told to do and works well. I let them shake it off and towel dry, blast whatever first and then brush it down. Spray a little anti static spray on where the coat is going and stick it on. Then blow dry feathering as normal. Does seem to work well this way, but I usually leave it on till bed time and then take it off and put it back on for the journey to the show and sometimes for a bit at the show if needed. Now I'm thinking the only one I'll take to the show is the shine coat if I get one and use the dry coat simply for that, drying.  :shades: :005:

That's brilliant Sarah, thank you. I'll try it for Boston on Friday. If I doesn't work and he looks a mess I'll tell the judge it's your fault!  :005: :shades: ;)
