Thinning Scissors - Which Ones
« on: February 07, 2005, 03:55:03 PM »
Hi everyone

I want to purchase some Thinning scissors , I know I need to get some that are one-sided serrated, 46 teeth, however there is a vast price range and so many different makes in some of the sites I have looked at (Hub internation) I want to purchase a good quality pair that are not too expensive - can an one advise me on what ones to purchase - I am so confused.

Wendy

I use Roseline too and they have been great....havent had to get them sharpened yet, but then I haven't been using them long.
I know there are more expensive ones around, but I wanted a decent priced pair to see if I could groom Lottie myself without a huge outlay.

Hi Gilly...
U can send them off to get sharpened by the likes of diamond edge and Simpsons.
However they can get damaged in the post etc - 0h n make sure u mark them in sum way so u know that u get ur pair back.
We get ours done by a local man who sharpens human scissors, he does a very god job and they don't have to be sent off.
I searched the make that Kim uses and they appear to be American?? 'For human and professional dog groomers'

Yes they are American & about £150-ish now
They were bought for me as a very extravagent pressie from Dezyna Dog, but I love using them, as the name suggests, it's like cutting butter  :)
