I use mine when my dogs are really wet and dirty.
When I get them home I give them a quick dry with a microfibre towel and then zip them into their bags to dry off.  My dogs are used to them now and just relax/sleep in them but to begin with they did try to walk in them and fell over.  :005:
Look around at prices as they do vary.  ;)  I wouldn't be without them now and it is a lovely feeling when you look at a really dirty, wet dog and know it will soon be zipped up and all the dirt contained.  :D

There seems to be basic (red) ones and luxury (green) ones - are basic ones ok!

My bags are from Waggers and were quite expensive. They are three years old now and almost as good as new. They are made from quite thick towelling. I think if I had to buy again though, I would definitely look around.  ;)
I don't know what the basic ones are like.
If you are good with a sewing machine, or know someone who is, I think they would be very easy to make as it is just a basic shape.  ;)

I have one for Louis, who could win a gold medal for getting wet and muddy :D but not for William, who stays quite clean and dry.

Louis has his put on him for the car journey home from the New Forest when he's got wet and dirty all over. Even if he's only in the bag for about 10 minutes it makes a huge difference. When I unzip him he's much drier than he would be if I'd just towel dried him. Best of all, the mud, grit and twigs stay in the bag, which I take outside, turn inside out and shake before airing it. It machine washes well too.

I also have Equafleeces for both boys. William wears his in heavy rain but there's no point in Louis wearing his during a walk in case he goes swimming  ph34r. I sometimes use the Equafleece instead of the Dri Dog Bag if Louis has been rained on but is quite clean, but the Bag is definitely better for quick drying and removing dirt.

Louis wasn't impressed the first time he wore it but soon accepted it and just lays down and snuggles into it now.

I have a couple of the Dri-Bags from Waggers too....they are really useful for containing all the wet/mud & getting the doglets dry quicker whilst keeping them warm.  ;)
The only time i use them now is occasionally in the car during the winter months.
The equafleece coats are also good for keeping them warmer/drying after wet cold muddy walk.  ;)

Are these safe to use on squirming puppies who hardly keep still?  :005:  I'd love one but worried about Toby wanting to move around in it (wouldn't leave him on his own of course).

Sarah, I think this is the bag you have given the link for
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Dry-Dog-Bag-Size-Neck/dp/B000EDWHMW
I think other COLers may have this one.  Maybe someone will come on and give their opinion.
This bag does have a good feedback though.  ;)
Neon, my girls first went in their bags when they were about five months old, they just learnt not to walk around in them.  :005: :005:
