It is Scout's birthday today. She and her sibling,my sisters dog Jarvis the asbo boy. are both 1 year old.
Guess where she is going tomorrow for her birthday ................
Boot camp! She is going in for some residential training, She is going for a month initially and then we will just see how she is getting on.(http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b396/grannynic/mz_07_10012654503.gif)
(She is going to improve her Gundog Training)
I will miss her terribly but I can call and see her any time. So wish her luck :D

Yes Scout is going for Gundog training, thanks for pointing that out Lyn. ( I have amended my post to say so to avoid any confusion)
I have done a bit with her but she is going to a professional for a bit extra. I can see her any time and i will see some of her training sessions.
I think she will get on OK

The term Boot Camp scares me! I keep thinking of all the norty kids that get sent away in to the bush you know what I mean Jermey Kyle style :005: :005:

I have my hands even fuller I have just been to collect my new girl Jess, a golden working cocker 2 and 1/2 years old part trained and raring to go.
Just spoken to scouts trainer and he says she has settled down ok he is calling me in the morning to tell me if she has been ok overnite.

I am working split night shifts until the little ones go so that I can be there every day. I am on holiday next week so that is even better.

Thanks for that but she is not a rescue but she was a reluctant sale from her owner. He is a young gamekeeper and he has had a back operation and has to give up his job and tied cottage so therefore has also had to let some of his dogs go as he can't take them all with him.
So in a way I was lucky to find her.

you're very brave! as much as i love workers i don't know if i would take on that much! :o
