Thank you for your reply.  I'm new to this forum and looked for the thread but couldnt find it on there about Blackjack...I dont mind if he is lively as I have twin (lively) sons (14) so another one wouldnt hurt.  I would be grateful if you would have a word with your lady you know.

Thanks.

The thing about working cockers is that you have to also have an active lifestyle as these dogs are from working stock and need more than just the odd lively walk. Working cockers are more suited to those who would also do something like agility with them for instance. I don't have kids but have an active lifestyle but still wouldn't consider a working cocker (they're a bit like mini-springers or working collies) as they need a lot of stimulation and more than I can give.

Have you been in touch with cocker rescue as they may know of any cockers up for rehoming.

Thanks for the reply.  I am on the list with cocker rescue and have only been actively seeking a cocker for a month but have been let done by one lady who decided to go with someone local so she could still see the dog and a breader who wanted her dog to have a true family home but didnt want me to have neutered.

Blackjack is at the Mayhew animal home - the thread on here about the webcam (where you can see Blackjack) appears to have disappeared! Their website is

Good luck if you go for him - he looks gorgeous!

Black Jack needed a home with no children or cats, so maybe not very good in this situation.  Keep looking though, I'm sure the right dog will come along soon.

I've taken a look at Robbie and what a lovely lad he looks!

Only problem is he has to be knocked out for his clipping!!!!!!

As to the other one...couldnt see that the cocker on the site but I have left a message as the rescue centre is quite near me.

Once again thank you everyone for looking for me.

I don't know if she's been rehomed yet but as far as I know she's been in the rescue kennels for ages & deserves a new home soon.

Hi

Ive had a look at Patsy but it appears she cannot be rehomed with children or other furries.  I have 14 year old twin sons which I dont think would be the problem but also have 2 cats.

It would seem a lot of the rescue cockers are not suitable with kids or other animals....is it just luck of the draw?
