Scottish Forever Home awaiting
« on: June 22, 2009, 01:12:59 PM »
Hi there

I'm offering a forever home to a dog needing a loving, fun home.

I live with my 3 year old son who has been around 3 different dogs his whole life, ours unfortunately passed away in April only 8 (GSD/collie), his Granny's lab/collie cross and his Nana's Springer spaniel.

If you know of a dog that's needing a home please contact me.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to COL

Sorry to hear about your dog  :'(

If you look at the rescue section there are often lovely dogs needing a loving home although some of them may not rehome with a child as young as your son  :-\

Are you looking specifically for a cocker?

You can also look on here:

http://www.nessr.net/

They often seem to have cockers as well as springer spaniels  :luv:

Good luck in your search.

I want to keep all my options open, so anything upto 5 years old.  Not bothered about sex, my old dog was the most loving boy ever so i may tend towards a male but i really don't mind.

You will need to keep checking on the Rescue section on here and with the various rescues that have been suggested.   ;)

Have you seen any dogs yet?  There have been a lot of cockers needing home lately  ;)

Have you spoken to the rescues and got yourself home-checked?  Once you are on their list it's then things move along much quicker  ;)

I agree what the others are saying, you will have to contact the rescue places yourself, they can't contact you as they are so busy, and there's no point in anyone else trying to pick one for you. Once you are homechecked, that will set the wheels in motion, and you can look out for a dog you're interested in. Be prepared to make a long journey for your right dog, but if you are really keen, then I'm sure that won't be a problem. ;)

Was it Rita you got Holly from? She's a friend of Duggie's breeder! :D
