He has growled at them and has gone to bite the toddler. Winston has a very nervous personality and is looking for a very experienced owner with no other pets - although Winston is very good with other dogs outside the home. When frightened or tired he will hide under the table and is best left alone or he will lash out. He gets possessive over food and has been caged at meal times. Winston has arthritis in his right hind leg, for which he takes medicine. In the past, he attacked the groomer who grabbed his bad leg - so he is now groomed at the vets under a light anaesthetic, although his owner can trim some parts of him. Winston loves to carry around his large tennis ball and to bury it in the garden. He is good on and off the lead but does chase birds. He is a fantastic traveller and can be left home alone for short periods.
