I think those of us who want to chat to each other like that chat on msn etc :005: :005:
The subject has been brought up before I recall, maybe if you do a search you'll find the thread ;)

Think it's the amount of moderating involved thats the biggest issue, this being a family site etc .
Personally I like it just how it is ( smile)

It's here - and my opinion stil lstands - chat rooms need administration and maintenance which takes a lot of time and not inconsiderable funds:

What's wrong with COL as it is - why do people seem to want it changed all of a sudden?

i like the site to jan, it was just something i saw an though it was quite nice to chat in real time. Certainly not a criticism of the site as it is now. If we had a chat room I could chat to you rather than needless, chit chat posts, if you know what I mean. :D Sorry to hear about your missing smileys have one of mine :D

Sorry to hear about your missing smileys have one of mine :D
Thanks!! Think I'll have to copy and paste them from quotes for now until I'm up and working again! Feels weird posting and not being able to put smileys on!
:D

thanks for the link rachel, i will have a read, when I did a search I didn't get anything, thankyou for taking the time to find it for me.

It has been raised - several times before. The Admin and Mod team feel that it is an unecessary addition to CoL making yet more demands on the team to set up and run the facility - in real financial terms and personal demands on our time.
There are plenty of readily available chat facilities such as Yahoo messenger, MSN etc which members can easily set up and chat to their hearts desire on ;).

Thanks, no need to feel your have to justify the reason it was a general enquiry not a criticism.
