Will she be ok ?
« on: February 26, 2013, 05:06:22 PM »
Hi, unusually OH and I are both poorly and cannot muster up any energy to walk the girls. Usually one of us would whilst the other was ill  :-\. I'm not worried about Maisie CKCS but Cocker Annie loves her walks so.I feel very guilty  :'(. Seeing her just laying around I feel bad, also will it affect her sleep tonight ?

I wouldn't worry about it. Roxy, our working cocker who LOVES her walks, had her leg in a splint for a couple of months last year and for the first couple of weeks we couldn't walk her at all but she was absolutely fine. Can you perhaps do some training in the house with her or play hide the ball/hide the treat? Don't worry just get better soon  ;)

I wouldn't worry - I'm struggling at the moment as am on 1 crutch and 2 of mine spent 6 weeks in kennels as I couldn't cope with them straight after my knee op. Now I can only walk one dog at once and not very far and so they don't always get a walk each day unless I get help from friends or neighbours.

She will be fine, might give you sad spaniel eyes though.

If ours don't get as much exercise as normal I find it does'nt really change their evening sleeping routine.  They do tend to be a bit more fidgety during the day but once night time comes they sleep as normal.

Don't worry about her  :D

I have had a few times where Millie has had no walks or very short ones as I have been ill. She is fine and quite often knows I'm poorly so is quite happy to cuddle up  :luv: :luv:

She will be fine and as soon as you take her for a walk again she will forget she missed any.

I am so glad I am not the only one who feels TERRIBLE if I don't get out for the usual walk time with the dogs.

It doesn't happen often, that's for sure, but when it does, I feel so bad. X

Just get well......your doggie will forgive you both. Xx
