New Cocker owner
« on: September 12, 2017, 08:27:18 PM »
Hi,

Just wanted to say hello. I am a brand new member to the forum and also to Cockers too. We have just been adopted by Bailey, a 13 month old who's previous owner couldn't give him the attention he needed due to longer work commitments.

Its been a hurricane couple of weeks  :005:

Hi and welcome to you and  the storm that is  Bailey  :005:
We got our Gemma when she was 10 months, given up by her owners ( the lady wanted to decorate and refurnish the lounge and Gemma did not fit the requirements) so sad but hay ho we won the lottery when we got her.
they are full on pups but go with the flow. they are the most loving creatures ever.
We did not know how much training she had received so we went right back to basics and started anew.
Run free and fly high my beautiful Gemma

In 2 weeks we have had the following casualties:-

2 odd flip flops,
1 of my OH's shoes

He has nicked

1 pair of my knickers
1 pair of OH boxers
various socks
gloves
the TV remote
the list goes on  :005:

Didn't work for me. Photobucket will no longer allow pic sharing unless you have a paid account

That's weird. I just registered and with a little going round in circles it gave me the link. If it is going to charge I won't use it!

If ypu look under Forum Support there are a couple of threads on there re posting photos, - a number of us have had problems with photobucket lately. I've been using IMGbb and found it really easy, - I only use it for this site anyway. Best of luck, looking forward to seeing your pictures!!

Lovely lad! I recognise that hip spread in the second photo.

As for the collateral damage so far - sounds typical for a younger pup and the fact he still doesn't understand what's his and what's yours may indicate a lack of training in his previous home. Although I don't think socks will EVER be safe! Back to basics and keeping everything out of reach.

It's like having a toddler all over again! I don't think he has had any training at all prior, but we've mastered sit and paw in 2 weeks. It's lead training next as he's a bit of a thug to be honest! :005:

Just heading out for a walk I opened the boot of my car to get something and this little man decided to jump in and refused to come as it was raining! :rain:
