I was just wondering......
A friend was asking me about what colours of cockers get bred together, are they bred 'colour to colour' or do breeders select 'type' or bloodline on a higher rating when carrying out their breeding programme. I've never thought about it before, but I am now curious! I used to breed and show cashmere lops and dwarf lops many years ago, and these were bred more for colour and conformity to breed standard - hence 'rainbow ' litters but some other breeds of rabbit were bred true to colour, such as angoras or dutch.
Was just a question of life.......... but I'm sure someone knows the answer
