My new lovely pal at work, Lynne, has joined COL and is due to get a new orange/white roan bitch pup on 19th December.   :luv:

Can we arrange a meet up for the 20th?  :005: :005:

 :005: :005: :005: :005: :005:  I've already told her I am dog-napping it ASAP!

We could arrange a March meet up for when both our pupsters are allowed out (mine not born yet!  :005:). You must let us know ASAP what she will be called tho', I always love watching these threads and seeing the outcome.

mmmm.  my cousin's daughter is called Mia.......nice name, but not so sure he'd approve!  Just spend last 50 mins watching a DVD on cockers (bought at P@H).  Found out that roans' coats should be hand stripped rather than clipped (as solids would be).  Can any roan owners advise?

Mmmm my daughter is Maria and some people call her Mia, so our Strathclyde meet might be off if you go for that one  ph34r :005:

Well, I think Ellie is a lovely name,  :lol2: .  At school I got called Ellie-bubbles cos of my curly hair  ph34r .  A lot of people have said over the years that Ellie is a name that is really hard to say in a cross voice!

I must say, Saffy is the favourite at the moment.  The litter was born on 14th Oct and we're going to see them on 22 Nov when they will be just over 5 weeks old. Can't wait!!!  Maybe the dog we choose will just look like an Ellie / Saffy (or whatever) when we see her!  We've been to register at the local dog training classes tonight (there is a waiting list) and have tentatively registered Saffy as the name.

Pippin.  :luv:  as in Cox's orange........ ::)  I do love the name Pippin though, always reminds me of a kids tv programme my son loved when he was little, with Aunty Mable and Pippin the dog.  :D  Lucky you getting an orange roan.  Can't wait to see photo's.   :D
