how much does it cost to feed your cocker per week?
« on: January 05, 2009, 10:04:15 PM »
was just working out how much Jarv actually costs to feed  ;)

he has Arden Grange for breakfast and a raw meal at night, and a 15kg bag of Performance or Premium kibble lasts him 4 months (lucky we have an air tight container) so it works out at....

£6.33 for a basic week, and maybe £1 - £2 more for additional raw foods occasionally.

This doesn't take into account any treats.

what do your little    cost you?

Jarvis has about 200g of orijen a day, costing around £4.70 a week. :D Lucy i'm not sure, as i've never weighed her meals, but she eats about a 1/3rd of what Jarvis does :luv: :005:
Owned by Jarvis (Cocker), and Lucy (Cavalier).

Fern for a basic week is £5.50 that's kibble in the mornings and BARF in the evenings - doesn't include treats

Braan for a basic week is £7.40 and is the same as fern above

Autarky - but hoping to get to Costco so the cost will go down

Betty & Millie have Burns and I buy the 2kg bags so they can have a different flavour each time ph34r. I reckon for Betty it costs about £3.50 plus whatever a tin of mackerel costs (70p?). She gets a few leftovers and treats but I haven't included them.

Cheap date isn't she? :005:

Just tried to work it out, but as I buy cheap when I see it, it's a little difficult.  I think £5 - £6 sounds about right, though...

Online is more expensive, best to see where sells it locally!

This is the one I buy - http://www.gilpa.co.uk/product.php?shopprodid=8
I found the Gold to be a little too rich for them and they bacame a bit plump!!  ::)

Its an OK food - my dogs love it and are looking just as good as they did on Burns, if not better! (I just couldnt afford Burns anymore  :-\)
As long as my dogs are healthy I'm not too worried about what they eat!

Just swapped Indie over to Royal Canin Cocker and its working out at £2.98 per week.    Didn't realise how cheap she was to feed.

I've just worked it out as well (without a calculator). It's too late for these complicated mathematical matters, my head hurts - off to have more cider :005: :005:
