Thanks soooo much everyone!!

He is now home mooching around the garden looking sorry for himself!! Picked him up from the kennels and he looked at me as if to say What did you make me come here for!!!

He did try to sit on my knee all the way home, even though I was driving!!

Believe it or not he is tatooed in his ear, they said they couldn't read it!!

I did my microchipping course on sat, just waiting for the equipment to arrive and then I will be chipping him too!!
 He was picked up 15 miles from where we live, and he had to cross the M180 motorway to get there!! Just glad he is ok!!

My friend's Lurcher did the same a few weeks ago and was also found after several hours and about 15 miles from where he'd gone missing.

Put posters up everywhere and hand out leaflets to dog walkers, posties, binmen, etc.

Are you in an area that runs near another local authority - if he's lost his collar or tag then someone may have taken him to another local authority area (if people don't know an area they pick a dog up and take them to their destination area and leave with dog warden there - its my local dog warden's bugbear)

Keep ringing dog warden - vist their kennels regularly as well jus tin case he's been missed

Ring round every vet, local rescues.
