Barney's tail wagged ALL the time, it never, ever stopped. He used to put it to great use smacking it against our legs, it didn't half hurt . Brodie's a lot more reserved, she only wags when she's very happy or nervous x

Rufus (working docked) doesn't wag all the time. When he is pointing it is still and straight out the back, when he quartering it is going all the time. When he is resting it is still, but as soon as he hears my son's voice it starts. He goes into auto waggle when you say he is gorgeous. If he is scared, or too submissive it goes down. It is up when we are walking along but not wagging. Yes they are funny dogs. But we love them!

  • To understand a cocker, you need to be a cocker!

Two waggers here as well!  Murphy is docked, Maddi isn't and her tail is like a whip, the worst thing in the world is the tail battering the bath panel at 3 in the morning when I've got up for the loo  :005:

I love the Cocker tail action, when they're working their tails go 19 to the dozen and they don't stop much at other times. Caoimhe has taken the prize of waggiest tail in the house though, I don't know if I've seen a waggier Cocker than her, it goes so fast it's practically a blur :005:

Yet another thing to love about the breed.  I'm often asked "does his tail never stop?" and I'm glad to say, No it doesn't  :D living up to their name of Merry Cocker  :luv:

Not only does Bonnie Boos tail wag all the time she doesn't seem to be able to wag only her tail its as though her little body is hinged in the middle and the tail and bum go ten to the dozen. :D

Yeah Glen won a prize for waggiest tale and he made it look easy...everyone else was doing stuff to make their dogs wag and I just stood there laughing as Glen was already going 19 to the dozen  :lol2: :lol2:

Never had cockers with tails, until the two recent puppies.  My older dogs were docked....

I love it....but they actually pull each other around by the tails sometimes.

What a welcome, too, hey????  Wagging tails.

Morganas tail never stops going, but then neither does she.  ;)  :005: Her kids and Harvey are much more chilled. They do wag them a lot, but not half as frantically as Mrs Morgana. She works the ground constantly when out seemingly propelled along be her tail.  ;) Avalon wags hers to one side sometimes and gives you her sheepish little grin.  :luv: With my lot it seems like the shorter it is the faster it goes, which is lucky really as I'm not sure we would have any ornaments left standing with our lot.   ;)  :005: I love there tail action. It shows their Merry personalities, Always happy. It must be great to be a Spaniel.  :shades:   :D  :luv:

We've got another tail/body wagger here too!  Monty just can't keep his still and he also does the bottom wiggle thing, which is really funny to watch, bless him. :luv:

Gari's tail was docked, but it never stopped wagging no matter what he was doing, and especially when he was barking at the workmen! :005: :luv:

Duggie has a full tail and it wags a lot too, but it's slower and more side to side rather than the full body wiggle, but maybe he'll do that when he's older - I hope so! :D

Molly has a full tail that wags all the time especially when you try to keep a "stern" face to "repremand" her.
