  • To understand a cocker, you need to be a cocker!

He looks adorable from your avatar pic - Murphy (worker) was always mistaken for a springer at that age.

Awwww he's a beauty  :luv:

I'd say that he's most likely a springer, as he doesn't look very much like a working cocker. He looks just like the show/working cross springer pup that my two cockers love to play with down at the local park  :-* Springers tend to be thicker set than cockers, and a show mix would definitely have the slightly domed head and the heavily feathered ears like Bailey has.

Hope this helps

Oh my word - what an absolutely gorgeous puppy  :luv:

He looks lovely - those long legs and his head shape look more like a springer than a cocker to me.  He is absolutely adorable, you are very lucky to have him  :D  I love springers and used to have three myself  :luv:

Lovely lovely photo's  :luv: :luv:

He doesn't look like a show cocker pup to me in head or body shape.. but I've only had very hairy ones so that may be the problem  !

He could be a springer... or a worker or workerXshow cocker... or even a sprocker (springerXcocker) it's impossible to say really!

Can you ask for the breeders details and talk to them directly?

He's stunning though :luv: :luv:

Sorry, we're not being very helpful are we

I'm with Mary on this one - he looks more springer to me, and show x working springer -  and I think he is absolutely gorgeous...

here's a working springer at the same age - he doesn't have the ears or the domed head  ;)

and here's a working cocker of the same colouring (my workers 1/2 sis - she was around 8 months here)

Bailey is a springer and probably more leaning towards a show springer I had springers for years before cockers and kinda have a GOOD idea what is a springer he certainly most probably not a sprocker IMO, and in no way a cocker he is too heavy set. anyway heres a picture of your classic ESS which kinda answers your question  :shades: ;)

I would hazard a guess at a show springer, he is identical to my brothers when they were pups and he has had 3 of the show type.
Whatever he is though he is absolutely scrummy....  :luv:  :luv:

Either way he is beautiful.  :luv:  From the pic's he does look more like a springer.  This is just my opinion though and he could well be a cocker.  :-\

If there is anyway you can get to speak to the actual breeder and find out if he has any KC papers, obviously you will know either way for sure then.

Good Luck with Bailey, he is very cute.  :luv:
