"Pets As Therapy" license in the UK
« on: October 13, 2011, 09:25:38 AM »
Hello from Athens  :D

One of my dreams / plans for the 2012, is Scarlett to become a Therapy Dog.
As in Greece the organisation is only for stray dogs :-\ , I have some contacts in hospitals & would like to work this out individually as a volunteer of course  :D
I was thinking to travel to the UK to pass the test so for me to have a licensed dog.
Is there a contact I can start asking questions if this is possible? I've met the PAT group this year in crufts & I had the chance to talk to them for a while.
My question is if they can except a non UK dog only for the license....
Someone to ask & make a start on my research on this please?

thanks
Julie

Give the Pets as Therapy office a call or email them - they are a lovely bunch of people who will be able to answer any questions
