How this has helped.
« on: March 19, 2007, 04:02:25 PM »
Hello I wanted to come along to say how much it has helped reading some of the posting's here, A week last Wednesday my lovely 4 year old boy Archie was run down by the post van right outside our home on a tiny lane where only one car goes past per day.
Archie was our life even holidays were arranged with Archie in mind he loved the seaside, we never spent a night away from him in four years, he was the funniest cockiest character i have ever known full of life and aways ready for the next adventure, he loved humans and would make up to anybody who would pet him. friends in the village have been wonderfull and yet some folks just don't understand the closeness we had with  Archie our baby.
Reading and seeing the pictures here has helped, I in the least have no regrets to the way he lead his life truly on full steam, we couldn't have given him an ounce more love than we did, and he certainly gave it back to us.
Archie is buried b under the honeysuckle in my garden where I can talk to him, when i walk now I feel he is still with me.
So enjoy every moment you have with these Angels because surely they are all Made in Heaven.

Paulie I am so sorry to read your post. 4 years truly lived by the sound of it and at least he was loved for every second he was alive and is still loved now he has passed.

Run free Archie.  :luv:

So sorry to hear about Archie.  :'( You must be devastated to lose him - 4 years is just not long enough.  But as you say, he made the most of every moment and had all the love in the world from you and he returned it many times over  :luv: :luv:  Many dogs never know this so Archie truly had a blessed life.  Hope he is carrying on full steam head at Rainbow Bridge and watching you from under the honeysuckle  :'(

Paulie

I can’t imagine how devastated you must be feeling right now.  But the time you and Archie had together sounds perfect.  Even though his life was way too short it was full of love and happiness.

I don’t know what I can say to ease even a little of your pain, but I am thinking about you

Lots of hugs

I'm so sorry he is no longer with you.

So sorry about Archie - it sounds like he was a happy-go-lucky little guy.

My first dog, Simon, also got hit by a car at the age of four. I was only fourteen at the time but to this day I remember how empty the house felt afterwards without him.

I think it's wonderful that you have him with you in the garden.

Oh, I am so sorry, Archie sounded a darling.  I have a puppy called Archie, I can only hope he has as full on a life as your boy did.

How awful   :'(.  Life just seems so unfair at times.  At least the good times you had with Archie will give you plenty of memories which will be with you forever.

Paulie, I was so dreadfully sorry to read your post.

You must miss Archie so much but at least he had 4 wonderful years with you which sadly a lot of dogs do not have.

Thinking of you with great sadness. :'(
