Hi,
We have rehomed an older cocker girl named Tia 8 days ago, and so far things are going fine.
We had looked after a friend's cocker for 3 months this year which helped us make a decision about getting a cocker for ourselves.
She has dry eye or KCS and is ever so good about having the medication in her eyes - her biggest protest being trying to hide her head in her paw or under someone's arm. What a name for a dog with an eye problem - Tia!
She can cuddle for Britain and my kids love her to bits already!
This site has been very helpful already in lots of ways. Thanks.
Cheers,
Mary P

Welcome aboard Mary - always nice to hear an older cocker has been rehomed as they are so often overlooked, so well done to you  :D As you can see, we're all completely cocker mad here...  8)

Photos cant currently be added to the forum Barb unfortunately - so the pictures of Tia will have to wait. Stuart is hoping to re-introduce the ability to upload photos into a gallery some time in the (hopefully) near future.

Hi Mary

How old is Tia?  Sounds like she's found a nice caring home

Thanks for all your messages everyone!
Tia is almost 8 years old, and is solid black apart from a white spot on her chest and a few grey hairs on her face and ears.
We had intended to get a cocker that needed rehoming, and so didn't expect perfection. One of her eyes will be fine, but the other most likely won't be. We have 3 months of medication, and then re-assess - time will tell.
Cheers,
