Help!! I bought a crazy, but georgeous puppy
« on: January 11, 2008, 12:13:56 PM »
I am new to this so please be kind x  :D

:luv: His name is Kasper and he has just turned 8 months old, We brought him home at 12 weeks and i have to say he is absolutely adoreable, a little bit naughty, very confident, but more importantly very very soppy. I have given up trying to keep him off my couch though, you could say life is a bit more hectic, but hay I'm a mum of three (kids) so who can tell the difference (Kasper is probably the best behaived) He was a surprise but most defiantly wanted.

I don't know how to add a pic to my profile, but have followed the instructions (fingers crossed) I appolgise in advance if it has not worked or ends up massive x

Any advise will be greatly appriciated though!!

Kasper looks lovely.  I find part of the Cocker charm is that they can be naughty but the affection and kisses they give makes up for that  :luv:

Welcome. Jasper is gorgeous.

Haha - that's cockers for you. I'm kept in check by Jake who is six and a half months and definitely runs me ragged half of the time (but the other time he's a big sook and good as gold!)

Yes i had wanted one for ages, but wanted to Wait until the kids had got past the baby stage now 8, 5 and 3 still young but old enough to play nicely with him (however we do have to separate them from time to time). I did loads of research though before committing to getting my little fluff bundle. He has been an absolute dream really, i am minus a couple of pairs of shoes, but hey if i leave them on the floor there his. The main problem I have found is his insatiable chewing, he destroys all his toys (better than chewing skirting boards though), regardless of how indestructible they are supposed to be. He has settled into our routine nicely and apart from the odd accident is nearly house trained day and night.

A truly sweet natured puppy who likes to chew everything in site xx

Maudie chews all soft toys up! She makes a small hole and then pulls all the stuffing out. On xmas day she opened a stuffed squeaky ball and within 30 mins it was no more!

we had about three toys on Christmas day that were in the bin before lunch time, he seems to have the nack of peeling tennis balls down to a fine art he can remove the skin in one piece in less than 5 mins. However his destruction seems to be limited to only his own things so i can't complain, he also loves digging up my garden and ripping up any paper/rubbish that has blown under the gate.
