Southern California has the weather, very pleasant year round. I'm in Northern California in the Sierra. We actually have four seasons. Just last week we had a bit of snow.
Ooops. Sorry :005:. I forget that California is just a  :shades: wee bit bigger than England

Haha, no need to apoligize. Even Southern Californians forget there is a Northern half.

Yes they are rare. I tnink AKC registered a bit over 400 litters last year in the entire US. The breeders here are very tight knit (a good thing) They are very, very careful where they place their puppies. Not many turn up in rescues. Quite the opposite for what is called the American Cocker, sadly many of them end up in rescue.

Hi,

Welcome to COL.

I have an 11 month old golden boy called Sam.

Your baby looks lovely  :luv:  and you're so lucky to live in California  :shades:  I know it's wayyyy in the south but I have a friend living in San Diego at the moment and I'm hoping to go and visit her later this year which I'm really looking forward to.

Hi there, I have 3 cockers, Amber, Jade and Archie, they are all under 2 years old, so never a dull moment in this house.   :005:
I really envy you living in California, I have family there in Santa Rosa and also Sacramento, we spent 3 weeks travelling around California 10 years ago and I am desperate to return.  Would love to do the more northerly part next time, moving into Oregon.
Your boy is very handsome.   :luv:
