Thank you all for such kind words,

We are trying really hard with Barney to make sure he has a good home, we have to go through all the toilet training issues, with him being older I am hoping he will learn quick, seems to be doing quite well so far.

As I said before wpent the forst 4.5 months of his life in a pen, so this in house thing is all a bit new to him

Any wonderful tips?

I'm owned by Milo, a 2.5 yr old liver boy, and Mocha, an 18 month old liver roan & tan girl.  Look forward to hearing all about Barney as he grows up!   :D

Barney is off to groomers tomorrow, more so to have a wash than cut, he will be trimmed, but he so needs a wash after 4.5 months in kennels

Looking forward to sweet smelling Barney

He is so soppy, never known a dog like it

Poppy is a soppy dog too  :005:- she can have her fiesty moments and when we take her to see her sister she can more than stick up for herself (more the instigator!) but she would just cuddle and cuddle and cuddle....  :luv:

:luv: :luv: I also have a beautiful black cocker called Barney. He is 3 years old and unfortunately suffers from severe epilepsy but that doesn't stop him being the funniest most loveable boy I could ever hope to own. Enjoy your beautiful boy!

:D Hi I am new to,
What a lovely pup, he is really cute I love the solid blacks :luv: Can't believe he wasn't snapped up !!
If we decide to get a second dog in the future, I think a solid black would be my choice, I think they would look good together. My Kasper is 8 months now and getting quite big, he also loves snuggles  and is incredibly soppy
We got him when he was about 3 months, he came from living in a kennel to, never seemed a problem though.
Just getting there with the house training, manageing to go through the night now most of the time, just can't keep him off my couch :005:
