Welcome back in to fold. We lost our beloved Gemma last year aged 12 to cancer.  We now have Miss Molly who has been with us since January.  Looking forward to comparing notes :shades:

Our crate was big enough we could fit one of those donut beds for our Lola to snuggle into.
Although she wasn't fully toilet trained, she'd never wee in it, and would go on a washable pad, instead.

I hope it gets better soon!
It is a big transition for everyone  :luv:

Puppies / Crate training
« Last post by Sara_Clara on Today at 04:33:53 PM »
Hi everybody again.  Just posted on the Hello section re Murphy aged 9 weeks.

Looking for advice re crate training as the last 2 nights of having him have been awful.  He needs to sleep in his crate downstairs as hubby has asthma so no dogs in bedrooms .  We’ve been treating him in the crate and door open at all times plus today fed him in there too.  He will go in during the day occasionally but prefers to constantly sleep on one of our feet.  As soon as we leave him at night with playpen area and crate open he won’t go into the crate at all and just jumps up on the playpen crying and howling continuously.  Last night we got 2 hours sleep.  Any advice gratefully appreciated.

Returning to the forum after a few years.  We lost our cocker Pebbles last July and only now felt ready for another.  Unfortunately Pebbles went deaf at aged 9 and then blind at age 10.  It was a hugely upsetting time although she coped amazingly .

This time around we have researched extensively on the breeder and health tests and brought home Murphy on Monday.  He is 9 weeks old.

Puppies / Trainers around Bristol?
« Last post by Corker on Yesterday at 11:38:00 AM »
Hi all, we're going to be welcoming a red working cocker in to our home at the beginning of June. Does anyone have any recommendations for classes or trainers in the Bristol area? We live outside the city, just in North Somerset.

I know of Geoff Shore who is a gundog trainer, though I will be taking our pup to him and to scentwork training in due course.

Any recommendations greatly appreciated, for the early stages or further down the track.

Holibobs were lovely. miss Molly got plenty of loves from strangers. She was on best behaviour. Was concerned for the last 2 nights as we were staying in a hotel for those. But a snuffle ball and treats kept her busy at mealtimes. She wouldn't settle in her crate so she did get to sleep with us. Probably started something now.  We did voice some concerns with the hotel over woofing at noise but the staff just replied "she's a pup and we are dog friendly so no worries . Nice to know we can go back again

Yes I agree, sadly however Amber doesnt play with any toys ar balls so a game wont be very useful. I must try to be firm and consistent...
