Sorry to hear about the two incidents.

Its probably nothing, but do you think something he eats (in the 2nd incident Rawhide) could be affecting him? Its a bit like some children go hyper if they eat too much sugar.
What do you feed him as his main food?

Also I wouldn't feel too down about it as with anything you will always have ups and downs.

We feed him Pooch & Mutt Calm + Relaxed (lol - not having much effect!)
He then probably has a small rawhide and a kong filled with wet food

Glad to read the update on Jake....it seems he is certainly more confident....Ollie is 11 now and he has some issues which we have never ironed out....but we have certainly an idea of how they will happen - so it is aviodance etc. 
Am glad you managed to find a good groomer.

We hope it gives others in a similar situation some comfort that it can get better!

I'm not sure he will ever be 100% "fixed", but at the moment we are definitely at a point where we can manage the situation, and day to day life is full of lovely, happy moments
