Misty
« on: January 02, 2006, 09:04:01 PM »
Misty was our Cocker pup,
We had her seven weeks,
Time enough to love her
In spite of all the leaks.

Quite suddenly she wouldn't eat,
Neither would she drink.
We took her to the local vet,
He didn't know what to think.

They took her into hospital
And put her on a drip,
And intravenous drugs as well
But 'twas a downhill trip.

She passed away on New Year's Eve,
She wasn't four months old.
She had a kidney problem,
Congenital, we're told.

Misty was our Cocker pup,
She gave us so much pleasure,
But she was taken from us,
Run free my little treasure.

8th January

We scattered Misty’s ashes
On her favourite walk today,
It was a very sad affair
There wasn’t much to say.

But in our thoughts she’ll always be,
And in our hearts for ever.
One day we’ll meet at Rainbow Bridge,
Once more we’ll be together.

So until then dear Misty
Have fun and play, run free,
But all the time please don’t forget,
Keep one eye out for me.
